The Row by MKA Is Now Available for Men

MARY-KATE and Ashley Olsen have announced that their women's label The Row will soon also carry menswear. The label, which has been a word-of-mouth global success, will develop new pieces for men with the same premise and aesthetic as the women's collection.

"When we looked in the men's market, we couldn't really find basics you could wear with designer — the same concept as our women's. So we started the process with pants and blazers, because we knew it would take time to get that right," said Ashley.

On beginning the design process the twins were inspired by their favourite menswear collections, notably Lanvin and Tom Ford, and focused on the customer they hoped to attract. "It's definitely an older, masculine man," Ashley told WWD.

T-shirts start at around $200, and men can expect to pay more than $3000 for a coat. Despite the high-pricepoints the Olsens insist that they will not be promoting the range themselves to boost sales. "I prefer to be behind the scenes because I really believe the product can speak for itself," Ashley insisted.
