Is Topshop making its crowds seem bigger than they really are? The British clothing emporium has been flooded with crazed shoppers since opening its first American outlet in SoHo. But an insider claims some of the frenzy is smoke and mirrors. Club-style doormen are "purposely not letting in enough people at once, so that there are always people waiting outside," says our source. A rep for Topshop did not return our requests for comment.
