CFDA Held Meeting to Clear Economic Woes

The Council of Fashion Designers, which is headed by Diane Von Furstenberg held a meeting the other day to discuss what exactly is going in the fashion industry in regards to retail woes. Topics such as the recession and why customers head out to their favorite retail stores in January to find bathing suits and fur coats in March were discussed. Suggestions such as not loaning out designer samples the day after the runway show, but instead waiting until the buzz can result in actual sales were given among others. "If someone sees an SS10 dress on Rachel Bilson in October, they’ll forget about it by the time they can actually buy it in January" one person said. All these issues and many more will be resolved just in time for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring /Summer 2010.Retweet this button on every post blogger
