The Beat (It) Goes On

You have got to be kidding me. The remaining members of the Jackson 5 are launching a clothing line called J5, that will be available in early February where all the "cool" kids shop. You know, Kitson, Urban Outfitters, and online at RevolveClothing.com and 80spurple.com

There will be tanks, tee shirts, and exact replicas of the beloved "Thriller" jacket as well as images of the Jackson 5 form the 1960s to 1980s plastered on the aforementioned pieces.

Rafi Weisman, the original designer of the jackets, was even consulted to create the replicas for the line. The “Thriller” jacket comes in soft red leather with black detailing and and “V” design on the back and the “Beat It” jacket comes in red or white leather with chainmail detailing and diagonal zipper designs. The catch? While the tees will run from between $45-$55, the jackets will cost around $900.

Book Marc Is Now Open For Business

On Labor Day instead of kicking it and getting pissed off at my fellow West Indians as they were over zealous with pride, I decided to keep it real.

1pm. -Business Meeting

3pm. -Borders; those October issues are rolling in!

6pm.- Dinner in the meatpacking district

While passing the West village, my friends and I noticed the new Book Marc bookstore and were delightfully thrilled at what we found. Expect to see Sharpie markers embellished with the designer's name, sketch books that are perfect for us college kids, and stacks upon stacks of books that cover everything you could ever want to know.

The Next H&M Designer Is, Lanvin

H&M has been doing designer collaborations for a few years now, Karl Lagerfeld, Madonna, Stella McCartney, the list goes on and on...

Lanvin designers Alber Elbaz; head of womenswear and Lucas Ossendrijver; head of menswear are creating a capsule collection for the fast fashion retailer. The line will launch in North America on November 20 and the rest of the world on November 23. Expect to see a short film on hm.com November 2, just a few weeks before they hit stores.

Hopefully the collection will be just as beautiful and charming as the pieces that hit the runway.

Joe Zee Is Not the One?!

I have said enough about MTV's The City, (peep the search engine on the bottom right hand side) in past posts. So with that said, another fashion favorite has been hit with the Hollywood bug or just wanted to take a break from all that is corporate America.

Joe Zee has signed on with the Sundance Channel to star in his own show All On the Line. Each episode will be one hour long and revolve around him helping a dead beat designer become a shining star again. Maybe Richie Rich will be on the first episode, (insert line from White Chicks here).
