Easy, Breezy, Beautiful...
The top secret May U.S. Vogue cover (shot by Steven Meisel, of course) has been officially released and nine supers have made the cut. There’s only one American on the cover and that’s only if you consider Chic Report fave Liya Kebede a Yankee. There’s two Russians–Natalia Vodianova and Natasha Poly–and not surprisingly three Brazilians, Raquel Zimmermann, Caroline Trentini, and Isabeli Fontana. Dutch Lara Stone was a shoo-in while Jourdan Dunn was a welcome suprise. But the biggest shock is the inclusion of Anna Jagodzinska on the primary page. The big snubs? Giselle, Doutzen, Chanel Iman, Coco Rocha, Agyness, Jessica Stam, Anna Seleznova, Lily Donalson, and Toni Garnn.photo credit:

Things Are Cut Throat at Conde Nast
(NEW YORK) The March 31 receptionist purge in the once-hallowed halls of Condé Nast left the publishing house with an obvious problem: What happens when the remaining few left on editorial floors break for lunch? Junior staffers to the rescue. The Daily has learned that editorial assistants at flagship titles like Vogue and GQ are rotating in thrice daily, relieving the receptionists while they enjoy three allotted breaks.
And the cuts just keep on coming. Condé Nast has long offered employees the benefit of free emergency daycare at 4 Times Square, but the company recently implemented a new policy--staffers must now pay $35 for all-day care of one child, and $50 for two or more children. The benefit remains heavily subsidized.

Premier Model Management Is Playing Mommy Dearest for London Fashion Week
MAKE-UP, photographers, stylists, design innovation, knackered editors and an army of leggy models: all things we associate with London Fashion Week. Safety isn't high on the list for most of us - but it is something Premier Model Management is taking very seriously this year.
They have created the Model Safety Pack - aimed at the agency's newest young models - to ensure their charges remain safe, secure and hit the ground running when attending the shows. The pack contains tips and contact details for safe travel in London, addresses and contact details for an array of emergencies, aswell as a loaned pay-as-you-go SIM card and handset.
"The Model Safety Pocket Pack is designed to make London Fashion Week safe and easy for our working models," Carole White, Premier's managing director, told VOGUE.COM. "With so many models working in London - and many coming from overseas for the first time - we felt we needed to create something for our models to help them keep safe and well during the busy week."
The girls were also supplied with a base in central London, nutritious meals and a 24 hour helpline manned by Premier staff to ensure their week went without a hitch.

Arlenis Sosa is the Catwalk's Meow!
Arlenis Sosa is quickly becoming the hottest thing since sliced bread in the modeling industry if you have not noticed. She opened and closed some major shows this past fashion week such as, Oscar De La Renta and evened managed to land a spot in The Victoria's Secret 2008 Fashion Show. That is not bad for a Dominican Republic born 19 year old, who was discovered on her way to school, and was only signed for SIX MONTHS, prior to hitting the catwalk running. I pray that you go far Ms. Arlenis Sosa, and make us all proud in the process!photo credit:
